Terminal Setup

Before you begin to use the equipment you must setup the scanner, to determine
your custom fields (if any) password, and company name.

By default, the system will scan all bar codes: Code39, Code128, UPC, and
Interleaved (2 of 5,etc). It will scan all lengths, and will not drop any characters
off (such as check digit on UPC).

To enter the simple setup, from the main menu, hit option 3.

WARNING: You can LOSE all of your data by
removing the battery for long periods of time.
The system uses a backup battery that is
charged by the main battery in order to save
your data between swapping bateries, however,
once this backup battery is depleted, all the
memory in the scanner will be lost. As a
safeguard, ALWAYS download your data to the
PC once you are finished with it. Do not
leave a gun without a battery in it for more
then a few minutes.
