BCT Scan, Asset Inventory Example                                           Home

The BCT Scanner program is designed to be easy to operate, and setup.  The handheld allows for quick setup of your company name, handheld user, and up to three user defined fields that you want the terminal to ask for, when scanning each record.

The program utilizes the built in laser bar code scanner to read barcodes that you already have placed on your equipment or items.   The fields that you setup, such as 'room' or 'building' stay active as hotkeys until you change them.  For example, the first time you start to enter data, it will ask you for 'room', and 'building', then each scan will be assigned to that 'room' and 'building' (you can turn on/off up to 3 user fields, plus date/time stamp, and qty.  The hotkey fields can be quickly changed, once you leave a room or building and go to another location, simply hit 'func+1' to change the field to something else (enter a new room), 'func+2' to change bldg, etc..

Once you have your information scanned in, you can download it using the receive program.

The PC based receive program will place each scanner upload in its own file based on the user.

Microsoft Excel example  -  No user fields used

In this example, no user defined fields were used.  Up to three additional user defined fields can be enabled in the scanner which would show up as columns E, F, and G.   You can turn off columns A and B if you don't want user id or company/job/batch name that you setup.  We also support Symbol technologies equipment and have multiple hardware options.
