download this free Code39 font and use it to print barcode labels
right on your own ink jet or laser printer.

You can use the
font in Microsoft Word/Excel to print out your product lists on your
own lables. You can get white, clear, or even specialty lables
at your local office supply.

Code39 Bar Code Font Installation:
1) After you have downloaded the
Code39.ttf file, click on START, then SETTINGS in Windows.
2) Click on CONTROL PANEL, then
double click on the FONTS icon
3) Click FILE, then INSTALL NEW
FONT, the browse and find the Code39.ttf file
4) That's it. Next, review
the RULES for using the Code39 font:
RULES:
a) You MUST use a * (asterisk)
character BEFORE and AFTER each number. Example: *1234568*
b) You MUST use CAPS or Numbers
ONLY
c) The font is free but is not
warranted, not guaranteed, and not to be sold, as it is "freeware"

Any printer with 300dpi or better, ink jet, laser, it doesn't matter
Does it require special labels?
No, print on any paper, label, transparency,
anything your printer will accept
How do I use it in Excel?
Simply click on the column heading, click on
format, click on cells, click on font and choose.
Must I use the * character? Yes, if you want the code to scan. You
can do tricky formulas in the Excel to add the *
Are there UPC or other fonts available?
Yes, but you will need to buy a software
package or bar code printer.
