The BCT Scanner program software allows for quick setup of your company name or job ID, as well as up to three additional user defined fields and auto date/time stamp.  All user fields are laser scan enabled.

New  We have added 'hotkey' ability to the user fields, so you can now group by any user field, such as 'BIN' .  It will allow you to scan each item and associate it with that user field, such as all items in this 'bin' all items in the next 'bin', etc..

For asset scanning, you can setup hotkeys like 'building' and 'room' and the fields retain the data for the hotkey fields, and apply it to each scan until you hit a hot key (func+#) to change it (like new room #), then it uses that new, for each record. (example)

Once you have your information scanned in, you can download it using the PC based receive program.  

In this Excel example below, no hotkey fields were used.  Additional fields would be columns E, F, etc.

You can also turn off the company/batch id field (column A) and user ID field (column B)

Also note, that a regular field, like QTY will come up after the scan, a hotkey field (like BIN) will come up before the scan.

For multiple handhelds (team of inventory personnel), the PC based receive program allows for multiple scanners and users, by placing each upload in its own file based on the user plus it adds a number to each file, incremented by 1.  Because of our unique way of handling files, this system can support teams of inventory personnel working from the same single PC, with the only requirement that each handheld has its own user id.
